White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt announced Friday that "deportation flights have begun," sharing photos of individuals boarding military aircraft. "President Trump is sending a strong and clear message to the entire world: if you illegally enter the United States of America, you will face severe consequences," she posted on X.

One of the photos was reportedly taken at Biggs Army Airfield at Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) sources cited by Fox News. The sources said the plane shown holds 80 passengers and departed for Guatemala on Thursday at 5 p.m. local time.

Details about the individuals boarding the flights remain unclear, and Leavitt did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment. Meanwhile, CBP confirmed that additional U.S. troops have arrived in El Paso and begun installing wire barriers near the Ysleta Port of Entry.

Fox News Digital obtained information showing that during a 33-hour period between midnight on January 21 and 9 a.m. on January 22, ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations arrested over 460 undocumented immigrants. Those detained included individuals with criminal histories ranging from sexual assault, robbery, and burglary to aggravated assault, drug and weapons offenses, resisting arrest, and domestic violence.

The arrests spanned individuals from various countries, including Afghanistan, Angola, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Senegal, and Venezuela.

Newark Mayor Ras Baraka condemned the operation, calling it an "egregious act" and accusing federal agents of violating the Fourth Amendment by reportedly conducting raids without presenting warrants.

Baraka highlighted the case of a U.S. military veteran among those detained, stating that he "suffered the indignity of having the legitimacy of his military documentation questioned."

"This egregious act is a plain violation of the Fourth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, which guarantees ‘the right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures,’" Baraka said in a statement.

"Newark will not stand by idly while people are being unlawfully terrorized," Baraka added, pledging to defend and protect civil and human rights.
